But denying a child a real home becouse their guardians are overweight? or homosexual? The only people who come up with that, have never been orphans. I guarantee you. They do worse things everyday. I had to sleep next to a girl that cried herself to sleep every night, becouse her adopted father. Raped her, on a regular basis! The same goverment that gives you statements like that, sends children everyday to be exploited. I'm not saying it's like that all the time. But you'd be suprised the kinda scum they let cart off children everyday.

Yeah that is really really awful. There are really strict rules and checks [or there should be] that are in place before you can adopt a child. It is normally very difficult to adopt a child.

If I marry in the future and I want a child I'd much rather adopt than have one of my own.

I'm fine with gays, lesbians, bi, trans, whatever. I think that gays should have to right to marry. If they love someone enough they should have the same right as other citzens. The incest thing is gross, I don't know why a brother and a mother would want to have sex.

Gay people aren't allowed to marry in some places in America right?

They are allowed to marry here. Well, it's a Civil Partnership which is essentially a very similar thing.

Yeah it's pretty hotly debated in America. Especially in the south. It's not as bad as it could be here in Texas. But yes it is illegal in some states for homosexuals to marry.

Its not recognized in most of the U.S.
And its been less than 20 years since the laws criminalizing homosexuality were struck down. Georgia and Texas fought that the hardest to keep them, which probably doesn't surprise anyone.

I can make you change your mind that you believe homosexuality is wrong, and I wouldn't dare try. But I am not going to say raping an animal, larger than you or not, is the same as consentual sex between two adults. Just because an animal doesn't trample you doesn't mean it is giving consent.

But it wouldn't be consensual. The animal isn't consenting to something like that, and we as humans wouldn't even know if they did. I'm shocked anyone wouldn't consider something like that being anything but rape...since it'd definitely be forced. *Shudders at the thought of anyone going with an animal*

Maby that statement was a little out of line. I had to spend some time in a home.

My dad left our family when I was 10 and my mom got MS and was disabled the same year, I was put into a boys home for about a year and some of the stuff I experienced there was...powerfull. My grandparents moved in with my mom and she was deemed fit to care for me at that point. But let me ask that you remember who adoption is about, the children.

You are absolutely right about it being about the children and not some selfish need of the parent.
So if adoption is about the children, why give them to a homosexual couple?
It's been argued plenty of times that a real upbringing for children is given by both the mother and father. Giving those children to a homosexual household is giving them a disadvantage more than anything.
