Becouse love is subjective, and it is just as powerful.

Let me answer your question with another question.

Why do people identify with Romeo and Juliet?

That play makes no sense without the most crucial element. Love

He is a teacher, and it isn't a freedom of speech issue, because public school teachers do not have the same freedom of speech in the classroom as they do outside.

Love? What does love have to do with homosexuality and heterosexuality?

As a heterosexual man I find a beautiful woman sexually attractive. I find no such attraction to a handsome man.

A gay man finds a man sexually attractive, but not a woman.

So instead of answering my question with another question, I would like someone who actually believes someone would choose to put themself in the life-threatening situation of being a gay person in this world voluntarily WHY they think someone would make that choice.

Sex and love are different.

You ask me why would a man decide to put himself in a dangerous social position as opposed to a safe one?

The answer is totally subjective and impossible to universally anwer.

Go ask a homosexual. They can tell you why they are homosexual.

Here is the most common answer. "I knew about the time of puberty (or sometime sooner) that something was different about me. Where my classmates seem to be excited in talking with the opposite sex, I didn't feel that way. I realized I better keep my attraction to my male classmates to myself, or else there would be trouble." Most homosexuals knew they were gay long before sex and love were in the picture. Did you have to fall in love with a girl to know you were straight? I sure didn't.

You give me a fact. "Homosexuals choose to be homosexuals" and I asked you WHY is that true. Why would someone make that choice? You tell me that it is impossible to answer. If it is impossible to answer, then why do you believe it to be a fact?

Gay marriage is legal here. I think the majority of people in the UK aren't bothered what gay people do, it's not a concern. It's just annoying when they have all these gay pride marches. What's the point? They have all the rights we do. It's like LOOK AT ME I'M GAY! And everyone else is like, so? It's old news now, nobody really cares if a person is gay or not [except a few people of course.]

So gay people are never beat up or killed because of their sexuality in the UK?
