I kinda mean that in your first years of birth (like 5 or 6), your very innocent and kinda oblivious to somethings. But, being around so many kinds of people with mixed opinions and such, your opinion on things changes as well. Which starts it again, society changes the way most people think.

I think gay couples are thinking only about the sake of the child. Shouldn't a child with no parents have someone to love them and take care of them? Isn't that better than hopping from foster home to foster home or living in an orphanage?
MMM, do you really think that the problem of orphans will be solved when homosexuals are freely to adopt? The problem with orphans, isn't just that there is a lack of parents willing to adopt. It's far mroe complicated than that.

It's also because an orphan may not want to be adopted by a certain someone, so they act out or something, leading the parent to returning them.

Forgottenmemory, do you think you would believe what kids at school say over what your loving parents tell you?

That's not what I said at all. And where I live gay couples can and do adopt.

I believe in what my mom tells me, and occasionally my dad, but kids say things so much that it sometimes sinks into you like a stone.

I went to school with two girls who had gay parents. One`s father came out of the closet when she was a baby - mom left, and she was raised by her father and his boyfriend. (A relationship which really, in my eyes, should have been seen as a marriage.) No one ever made fun of her. In fact, she always said pretty much no one even knew about it unless they were close friends with her. In grade school, other kids don`t really care. When you`re older, how much do you talk about your parents to your classmates?
She was never bullied as far as I know.

The other had been adopted by a lesbian couple. She called one mom and one by name. Everyone sort of assumed one was her mom and one was her aunt but if asked she volunteered the information willingly that they were both technically "mom". Again, no bullying that I ever heard about.

You're probably right. It's like me when I was in my last three years of Elementary School and I started a new school after moving. People thought my mother was dead or something because they rarely saw her since my father always attended my school functions. I never really talked about my parents, so no one would know. And to be honest, I didn't even know that's what the kids thought, until a friend in middle school mentioned to me, that they thought I had a single-parent home.

Kids living in non-traditional homes are taught tolerence and to not listen to their less tolerant classmates.
