Okay, I live in Fresno, California.
And throughout the middle part of the state, we have a huge Hmong community.

Now I'm just curious, are they showing up more often in other parts of the US and world?
They all used to just stay in cali, but they had to move on past, and a lot to seem to head up to Alaska and such.

Now, if you do, what's the general view of them?

They're usually left alone here, usually keep to themselves...what about you?

It's a very touchy subject. What you see in California may baffle you but that's what the Hmongs have been doing over 1,000 years. They used to move around by walking. Now they still move around using what is available, which are the airplane, cars, trains, etc. They are left alone because that's how they want to be treated. They have their own beliefs and they will not assimilate into the culture of any place that they happen to be in at a given time. I don't think they will stop migrating in our life time. To them, living means migrating.

You know, that makes sense. I was discussing it with my hmong friends, and they said something similar.
