Do I look Southern Japanese?

I'm not Japanese not even part but get mistaken for Japanese all the time. A Japanese lady said I look Southern Japanese. I don't know what a Southern Japanese looks like compared to the rest. Also she said she was Southern Japanese and we look nothing alike meaning characteristics.
