Smile lets end animal cruelty - 07-19-2008, 06:55 AM

hi!! so how r u?
hey i need your help on a subject ...

recently in india in my city a few students butchered a dog with horrific cruelty.we are setting up an international pertition to put an end to animal cruetly
i plead to you ...please sign the petition

not for me..or youserlf

but for your pet

for humanity...........for nature

the details:Please sign the petition against the JNU dog killings ........

http://www.thepetitionsite.com/1/jnu...utchered-alive

On the 8th of July 2008 at 2 am in the morning an 8 year old bitch was butchered by 1 Naga student, Yoronso (Ph.d student from JNU's School of Social Science , (Centre for Political Studies)) and his two friends in Room #248 in the Kaveri hostel of JNU ( Jawaharlal Nehru University ) in New Delhi . She was beaten with a cricket bat and a curtain rod for an hour and then they started to cut her open while she was still alive. Due to the noise and as blood started gushing out from under the door the people in the hostel got alarmed, and then the students and wardens intervened.

The sequence of events.-

1. Due to the rain and lightning Kali was sitting in the stairs of Kaveri hostel.

2. Yoronso and his two friends lured Kali up to Yoronso’s room (Room #248) with a Parle G biscuit.

3. Once locked in the room Yoronso fed Kali rice which he had acquired from the hostel mess downstairs. (It may be known that rice is often used as a stuffing in animals before it is cooked to be eaten.)

4. The 3 of them then tied her snout with 2 torn Dupattas, and they started beating unsuspecting Kali with a cricket bat and a curtain rod.

5. After 1 hour of gruesome torture, they started to butcher Kali alive with a knife, the whole ordeal lasted 1 and a half hours.

6. Yoronso mercilessly dismembered her limb after limb while she still kept alive.

7. Yoronso's friend then brought a brick and began to smash Kali's skull and ultimately she died and got a release from this gruesome and unbearable torture.

8. Due to the noise the students of the hostel got alarmed and they intervened.

9. There was so much blood that it started to seep through from under the door and go to flow onto the staircase.

10. Yoronso and his accomplices were caught red-handed and the bystanders were nauseated to witness the degree of cruelty involved. Up to 80 student’s witnessed the gruesome site.

11. Some of the students were so overwhelmed to see that enormous pool of blood and Kali's maimed body that they called the Police but the Hostel Wardens were quick to dissuade them and staged another cover up by destroying the evidence i.e. Kali's corpse, murder weapons etc.

12. With the apparent laxity of Police and Wardens the matter would have easily died down but one student called up Mrs Maneka Gandhi who then intervened. On learning that Mrs. Gandhi has been informed the warden casually issued a letter to Yoronso asking him to vacate his hostel.

13. In the year 2006 Kali’s aging mother Leela had also died under similar circumstances, when the news leaked out she was labeled as an aggressive dog unfortunately in this world there is no one to speak for these voiceless animals.

14. These are not isolated incidents but a periodical event which recurrently takes place on JNU Campus.

The authorities have again tried their level best to suppress this issue. And so far no action has been taken against Yoronso and his accomplices.

I request all sensitive and conscientious people to come forward, express their concern and raise a voice against such cruel and perverted acts.

This is really sad. I'm about to cry reading this.

I hate animal cruelty, but I think it's one of those things that can't be stopped easily. It's hard to achieve peace.

I'm going to check out your link, and I'm glad that you're speaking out what you think is right.

Thanks for reading!

omg thats so sad....I'm not all for PETA or anything but why do some people find enjoyment in torturing an innocent animal?!
Even if the animal was the meanest animal on earth I'd never ever do that.

See, it's fun to torture your friends by tickling them until it hurts or slashing people up in video games... But when it comes to anything with an animal dying in a book, movie, or reality, I always get really upset and cuddle with my dog.

That's sad but not uncommon.
Instead of starting petitions you should be getting out there.
Tons of shelters need people to help them care for animals.
Stray animals are often the victims to this kinda thing.
Thats why it's so important to keep your pet spayed.
The populations of cats and dogs are ridiculous.
And if your pet does end up having babies, it's important to watch out who you give the babies to.
And never give away an animal for free.
I actually went under my own home to rescue a stray cat and her kittens.
It was very dangerous but now all of them have safe homes.
I still keep in touch with the owners.
The mother cat and one of her kittens even lives with me.

It really doesn't take alot to save alot.
God knows how many more litters of kittens would've died if I had not caught that stray cat.
If you have one roaming around your house ask a local rescue group for a trap.
It's a system called trap, spay and set free.
You pay a small fee to trap a cat, you take it to the shelter, they spay and give it shots and then you get it back to either keep it or set it free again.
Alot of strays are to dangerous to handle, but that doesn't mean we shouldn't help them.

Also alot of non-animal killing rescue groups need people to help them foster animals.
If you have a little extra room around your house, those places always need the help.

I have eight cats.
All rescued by yours truly.
It sounds like alot but it's really not. o.O
3 litter boxes and seven food bowls and 3 water bowls.
really not a big deal after you get used to doing it.

They're also all in-door cats.

That's another thing. :/ Anyone working at a shelter well tell you to keep your cat in doors.
It seems mean but as long as they don't know what the outside is they don't care.
Lucifer,Felix and Leigha have never been outside and they're very happy cats.
Very Very healthy as well.
I never have to take them to the vet they never have any health problems.
Outdoor world is a bad place for pampered cat.

I wouldn't expect much of a response. This "petition" is posted on all kinds of forums. It's a kind of spam, really. Although it might be a good cause, there isn't much point in addressing the OP.

...you sound like my gf... >.>''
she has three dogs...two cats..and a snake....
one dog, lucy, was abused by her owners until she ran away too my gf's house...where she just stayed on the front porch until she adopted her....

dotty...i forgot her story >.<''''''

and rufus, well...that's the only pet that my gf didn't rescue xD

the two cats....one, kitten, was picked up by my gf's elder sister who just brought home one day, and hid in her room for a bit....

oreo...well he has only three legs xD
(the 4th was amputated)

they also have a milk snake that they found in the backyard.....

before all that, i think kaelin had two other cats...one was mauled by her neighbor's dog...and i think the other was stolen...so she says...
buut yeah...
like i said..rufus is the only animal that wasn't rescued xD

When I was in the Caribbean, there were TONS of stray dogs walking around. I wanted to take home every one and I was about to cry on the tour.

About the high population of dogs and cats... O_O When I was down there, I saw a few dogs that have obviously gotten pregnant multiple times and their stomach flab was just all loose and wrong looking. They were obviously giving birth often, just gave birth, and may die.

Thanks for reading!
