It's kinda hard to answer your question. There's always the debate on what a "Hacker" is.
However, what it takes to be a hacker or whatever you wish to call them is different and yes, there are women who have the skill and curiosity necessary to find themselves in that sort of category. |

It depends on which color you're talking about.
There are three different colors, if you didn't know. Black- you hack for, I know this sounds overused but, evil. White- you hack for the government, and whatnot to collect stolen information. Grey- you hack for yourself, and yourself only. Hope this was any help. If not, sorry for the spam. Hello
The fingertips iced over, the feeling faded told myself I'd be happy just to make a clean break I remember feeling like I was going mad going to sleep with the urge to destroy Told myself I'd be happy to be completely rid of you every last trace a line of something unfamiliar running down my face No matter how you try to escape, you won't get what you desire No matter how you scream, that which is broken can never be put together again |

I don't really agree with or follow such a color coded idea of who's who and what they do (nor does anyone else i know) but like I said... people online have debated such things forever.
The idea of black and white could be applied to the legality/morality of someone's activities. Not who or what they "work" for. As far as male or female, I don't think one sex is more prevalent in malicious OR genuinely curious (learning experience) type "hacking". |

there's gotta be atleast 'ONE' desu ne? xDD @aota o.O" wow...never woulda conceived of such a colour code system~ but i was more questioning on the level of hacking like...low level hacking (to me) would be following tutorials too do small time things (i.e. hack a game; upload contemporary viruses, etc.) high level hacking (again, to me) would be something like bypassing security measures, especially those difficult ones and what not~ x.x ![]() In the shadows beneath the trees he waits. The ones I know work(ed) for companies verifying their security, either as internal auditors or as contractors. They are paid to try to break into systems, then report on the security weaknesses and provide recommendations for improvement. However, I don't recall any females being caught doing it illegally and making the news. But then I don't knowingly associate with those with such lack of conscience and morals - male or female.
