Gah..this sucks! ¬.¬ Like musicians dont get enough money from concerts and merchandise. It's times like this I REALLY wish I didnt live in Britain. BBC NEWS | Business | Illegal downloaders 'face UK ban' People in the UK who go online and illegally download music and films may have their internet access cut under plans the government is considering. A draft consultation suggests internet service providers would be required to take action over users who access pirated material via their accounts. But the government is stressing that plans are at an early stage and it is still working on final proposals. Six million people a year are estimated to download files illegally in the UK. Music and film companies say that the illegal downloads cost them millions of pounds in lost revenues. Like someone said in that report at the end, how the post office can't check every package, an isp can't check every packet.
Its possible though but there are any number of ways around it. Truth Hurts LIFE THREATENING Lifestyles A HITMAN, A NUN Lovers

Ugh, I've heard this being reported on the news 3 times so far today.
Cut our internet connection? Pshhh..bastards. x.x People who live in Britain won't be able to download songs/movies, but everyone else in different countries will still be free to illegally download as much stuff as they want. That seems fair. |
