goto both if you can :P

I might be going to china this summer, as i was invited to go with some of my chinese freinds, we would be doing a constent hop between HK and hometown provinces of my freinds. They are all international and the longest has lived here for 2 years. I am exited if i go it will be weird meeting some of my freinds parents for the first time.

I already have been to japan on an exchange trip, it has been the best expirence in my life so far. I saw japan as a very intresting place, although there is racism that is very subliminal, but it is still there you should notice it.
But it shouldent bother you.

wow what a ramble i did.

Well, considering I am going to China soon, I would say that answerrs the question. Yet I may go to Japan if I could find a decent full time Dojo there... Hmn, maybe HoseTak knows...

Even if it seems certain that you will lose, retaliate. Neither wisdom nor technique has a place in this. A real man does not think of victory or defeat. He plunges recklessly towards an irrational death. By doing this, you will awaken from your dreams.

May the Demon find you...

yes, tenchu-san is a male...

As for me, i've already stayed here in China for quite some time now, so it's pretty safe to say i've seen the best and worst that China can offer...so now, i'd like to go to Japan to see its best and worst as well...

Japan does not understand very well that one of its proudest cultural achievements is in film--- Akira Kurosawa

Depending on what you are looking for - 12-26-2007, 05:48 PM

Depending on what you are looking for?
For me I'll choose japan because I"m in martial art (karate, iaido,..) so I can go there and look at these iaito, hakama....
I'm sure that electronics and other goods for shopping isn't interesting as their currencies are high and could find cheaper in US
Also japan have great culture sites to visit or learn (tea ceremony, temples...) and I like sushis.

But I would also like to visit Hong Kong, shangai (part of china) sheinzen and beijing china because there are 3 interesting things in China:
1 - Food
2 - Goods are very cheap
3- Culture

So in my opinion it really depends on what you are looking for: Japan anime? Culture? Foods? Shopping?

I can't see the point of this topic. Japan and China are so different! They can't be compared!!!
It would be like someone asking, i.e., "England or Spain"? Both countries are in Europe, they have some history and culture in common, but are completely different.

Yeah, he's right. Not to mention HOW angry I'd get about it of someone dared compare Spain to England. lol

What are the young people of today coming to?
If anything.

I'd go to Japan ~ !

I could see Harajuku and Akiba and things I've always wanted to see there!

To be honest, I'd probably go to China because I was meant to go there a few years ago with my Chinese class but the trip was cancelled (teacher became ill, turned out she had cancer). It'd be awesome to test some of my Chinese.
