China or Japan ?

Japan of course. I've been to Japan, not China though. But from what I've heard about China, I wouldn't want to go. Its extremly polluted. Japan is exceptionally cleaner, and a lot smaller. Theres still tons of people though.

Don't get me wrong, I don't have anything against China personally.

It kinda depends on where in China. Hongkong is much cleaner than Bejing for instance.

I can't choose one country over the other.
I'd like to have a taste of both, since they both look awesome.
And they both look like countries where my digital camera would have a good time >_<
But asking this question on Japanforum, some answers are bound to be very biased

I really can't and wouldn't choose which place was "better". As for visiting. each place has its own unique history, heritage, people and loads of other stuff so I can't choose between that either.
If I were to live somewhere though, i'd try Japan over China, mainly because i'm a Technophile and stuff

Personally, China. I love and embrace the culture, the language **I am fluent in Mandarin** and the atmosphere. I would love to live in Shanghai.

You know, tell a lie, i'd love to live at the Shaolin Temple for a bit. I might try that in a year or two.

Are you asking for advice or this a matter-of-opinion type thread?

If this is about opinion, I'd have to say that I'd like to travel in both.
I'm part Chinese, so it'd be nice to get taste of the life of my ancestors. However, I've also grown to love Japan; it's people and it's culture.

When it comes to which is better to travel in... I wouldn't know.
Out of the 2, I've only been to Japan.
