I'll be traveling to Japan in 4 days and will be staying in Tokyo for two nights. The only thing is...I have no clue were to stay for the night let alone speak Japanese! I had a friend who was in Japan but he says he can't help me so I'm not sure how much money I need to be able to get around for two nights. I heard everything is really expensive but I only want to spend no more than $300 or else I'd be wasting money. Do you know if they have English speaking guides around and what the price is to get one? Also whats the cheapest hotel in Tokyo? I'm hoping there is a capsule hotel around Narita Airport. Also...how far is Narita from all the big shopping centers? And whats the cheapest and best transportation system? I need good advice!!!!!

Take the airport limousine bus to Tokyo Station, you'll see the ticket counter after you clear customs and enter the public part of the terminal. See if you can make reservations now at Sardonyx hotel, or the Dormy Inn hotel, they might have something available on short notice that's not too expensive. Both are within walking distance of Tokyo Station, which is in the heart of the city. $300 is enough for 3 days and 2 nights in Tokyo, but that's not much time to see anything. At least with the jet lag you'll probably be awake the entire time you are there. If worse comes to worse, you can sleep near the entrance to the station. You'll see what I mean if you are at the station late enough.

I mean, I too would suggest cancelling the trip because going on a trip when you're tight on money is a stupid thing to do. You travel so that you can enjoy yourself and not worry about anything other than having a good time, if you have to be worrying about not being able to spend more than the reduced amount of money you have set up to spend then it's just not worth it. What are the young people of today coming to?
If anything. [dormio ergo sum] |
