Boycott McDonald's - A Project of American Family Association
AFA - American Family Association - Promoting Traditional Family Values American Family Association - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia Was just browsing wikipedia when I happened upon this organization and quite frankly, I'm disgusted. Too lazy right now to write out an entire rant so I'll just leave it up to everyone else to discuss this. Are you guys for or against the beliefs of the American Family ASSociation >.>' ![]() In the shadows beneath the trees he waits. Just the mere fact that their beliefs are based upon Christianity is enough too aggravate me and VOID anything that they might say. ![]() In the shadows beneath the trees he waits. In the darkness under the moon he plots In the silence of the night he kills. |

Despite the fact that I don't consider myself Christian, I have a profound respect for many Christian concepts and values, and it's always unfortunate when its uglier, disagreeable, aspects are given the spotlight. Still, this association can do what it wishes within the law, so if that the lifestyle they wish to lead and promote, fine.
I used to be against changing the whole definition [federally] of marriage, not because I think homosexuals didn't deserve to have unions of the same right's as marriage, but primarily because so many people didn't want the definition to change. However, two things became clear to me: 1. These should be state decisions, not federal, and 2. just because legal documents say someone is married does not mean they are married under a religious order. If Christians, or whatever other faith, don't want to recognize it as a marriage under God, no one's controlling their brains. It does make me smirk that they call themselves the "American" Family Association. Clever ploy to get people to look at them in the first place, and even though it's kind of obvious what they think American traditional family should look like, the terminology still makes them look haughty and/or presumptuous. |

They are a bunch of fuck bags. Too bad there are so many in this world. If people like that ever came to power it would just be a Christian version of Iran or Taliban Afghanistan. It would end up creating wars. Even if it seems certain that you will lose, retaliate. Neither wisdom nor technique has a place in this. A real man does not think of victory or defeat. He plunges recklessly towards an irrational death. By doing this, you will awaken from your dreams. May the Demon find you...

I am in no way for this assanine Association. I voted against supporting it. I was raised Christian, but feel it is a hypocritical way of thinking and do not practice the religion at all.
I was looking back at some of the posts, and I hate to say this, but the Bible does in fact speak against homosexuality. I could care less. In my opinion, it's love however you look at it. Who are you to say it's wrong to love someone?Peace Love Recycle |
