Just about anything from Tim Burton (Edward Scissorhands, Nightmare Before Christmas...)

Just about anything from Quinten Tarantino (Kill Bill Series, Pulp Fiction, Grindhouse...)

I thought Kung Fu Hustle was hilarious.

Pirates of The Caribbean series, my guilty pleasure lol. You'll laugh, you'll cry, you'll want to drink rum lol.

Love more. Hate less.

Shame you don't like gore very much, because Ichi The Killer is pretty fantastic.

Others I would highly recommend:

Running Scared - Sort of a gangster movie but the visuals really make it special and the storyline is completely unique.
Donnie Darko - I'm going to assume most people have already watched this film, since it's pretty popular. But just in case you haven't, you've got to go and watch it now.
Old Boy - I think somebody already mentioned this. A REALLY brilliant movie, one of my favorites.
Anchorman - Again, I'm guessing this goes without saying, and most people have seen it. But you should watch it again anyway.
Shaun Of The Dead - Almost everybody has seen this, but some people in America still aren't familiar with it. Could be a bit "British"? I dunno. But it's great, and it has zombies, and it is funny.
Big Fish - One of Tim Burton's better films. Not everything he does is great. And all of his classics are hogging the limelight, so Big Fish gets overlooked sometimes. It's probably my favorite Tim Burton film.

Right, I need breakfast, if I think of more I shall return =)

::good try but not this time::
