I used to have Millennium Edition and I thought it was crap.
XP was the pinnacle of OS... It was the absolute shit.
about Vista being confusing, yea, there's no doubt about it, there is too much crap that just wasn't needed.
And as for the right machine running it, that's true, but tehy fixed alot of bugs with later releases, so depending on when you got vista, depends on how 'buggy' it was. my friend got it when it first came out, and he hates the hell out of it..

ummm.... beige isn't really that popular a color.
not being mean, but the only people I see with beige cars are... well... "older"

anyways, this discussion is for Windows 7, not which MS OS is best, make another thread to continue discussion please..

And what we really need to know is how much extra crap is going to be in W7. If its just a rehash of Vista, then we're going to be in a lot of trouble a few years from now. As I said, the proof is in the pudding, not in the mix.

Extra crap xD that's windows's emblem. I think I'll try that thing known as... Windows 7, but since I've got gnu/linux, my world is like more colorful *nn*

in a nutshell W7 is more of a "remake" than a "port".
Most people using this have experienced better video quality, faster surfing; web and local. The interface isn't as friendly as XP, but we can't expect everything..

There is also a new toolbar/taskbar, that was not included in this release, look it up...

Windows 7

Beta is announced already, coming out in 2 days or less.

A site was put up for information: Welcome to Windows 7

I've checked it out, the pre-beta and such, and IMO it looks really promising, better than Vista in all ways, and could beat XP if it goes like this.

To all those who don't know yet, Windows 7 is the next operating system Microsoft is making.

i haven't gone into depth with it ... but what i have read just states that it is Vista .. just reskinned and tweaked a little bit ...

/shrugs ... i don't have any issues with vista or xp though so i prob won't install it on any of mine till something requires it.

It's not Vista, It has the same kernel but it's what Vista should have been in teh first place. Has less requirements than Vista, more features.

"Steve Ballmer (CEO) also confirmed the relationship between Vista and Windows 7, indicating that Windows 7 will be an improved version of Vista"
