but yeah, Cavalera conspiracy is the closest thing you can get to old awesome Sepultura. =D

I say they are dead because there is only 1 member remaining from the original line-up.

And before I forget, the other Max Cavalera project,"Soulfly",is also excellent.

Hahaha, I didn't know you liked it either. Metal brings together us all together, even those who have had ill meetings in the past ;]

On the metal flaming note, I hate it when people just say, "AH its just a bunch of noise." I think that metal(the stuff that is well put together and not just trying to rip the strings off) takes a lot of talent if not more than what is "main stream".

Note: I am talking strictly instruments, not singing.

and dont forget, a lot of real metal uses aspects of classical music =)

and do you know how freaking hard it is to do triplet picking? =P heck, its hard to pick real fast.

and metal definitely have more personality than most of the sh*t on the radio these days. more depth.

I'm just going to list what I have so some of them will be repeats from before

As I Lay Dying
Atreyu

Ensiferum
Evergreen Terrace
In Flames
Kamelot
Nightwish
Opeth
Scar Symmetry
Sinai Beach
Soil Work
Static-x
Still Remains
With Blood Comes Cleansing

I know its not very many but it's the metal/rock that I have. I'm a moody listener so I have all sorts.

Metal is the most fun to play on the guitar because it's just so f**king fast sometimes! If you have a nice beefy amp with good base, rhythmic palm-muted strumming sounds so amazing. God, I need to get a new amp SO bad. I have this like 10 year old piece of sh*t practice amp with nothing going for it besides decent gain. That's going on my Christmas list.

Arsis! (I don't know how to embed, I fail ;[ )

YouTube - ARSIS - We Are The Nightmare (Version One)
YouTube - Arsis - Overthrown
YouTube - Arsis - My Oath to Madness
YouTube - Arsis- Servants To The Night

Those are just a few, but the entire album We Are the Nightmare wins.

Wintersun: Listen to the solo at 3:05, it's great. This guy knows his scales ;]

Edit: Just figured it out haha
