Holy crap! I just did the poll. Seriously???? More than 70% of you have respect left for the government?????? Why??? I never had respect for the Japanese government to start with. Even most of the Japanese people i've spoken to think their government is a joke.

I can respect the government without respecting the actors in the government. I didn't like Pres. Bush, but I always had respect for the US government.

From what I understand, the Taiji stuff has gotten a lot better and is gradually being phased out. Not fast enough, of course, but progress is progress.

Actually, the night I joined this forum I had just watched a bunch of stuff, which explains why i was in such a negative mood about this place (Japan that is)

The government may be a joke in a lot of aspects, but when it comes to actual government services - they deliver enough to hold a fair amount of my respect.
