Your countries Educational system? - 04-16-2009, 06:34 PM

i'm just curious what you guys think about this topic? as for my country i think the educational system is bad because

1 students are barely motivated to be at school and just to go get an education so they just can earn money

2 also a good amount of norwegian theachers lack the ability to learn "away" things.

3 I also think that the norwegian goverment is "afraid" to change how the norwegian school system work today

and i am quite aware of that other countries have a lot better school system than norway.

I think the school system is ok in Finland, at least in my school they have begun to ask more about the students point of view... so it´s getting better

German schools are bad - 04-16-2009, 07:35 PM

Whole Scandinavia has the best school-system in Europe! Germany's is very unfair: You've got the rich parents who have nearly all possibilities to send their kids on the good schools (Gymnasium) but the poor ones and immigrants often go on the worst schools (Hauptschule). And I heard the German students are very old.

British schools - 04-16-2009, 07:48 PM

I've heard there is still a lot of bullying...?

But we learned that there is pretty much offer for the free-time of the pupils. In Germany this a ll costs a lot of money.

America... well :/ I'm not entirely sure what to say about America anymore.

As for education, at my high school, it is almost entirely sports oriented. It's as if everyone is trying to get into the olympics or something. Not many people care about education in my town. I do. I'm a lonely nerd in a world of jocks here.

I'm not sure about the rest of America. But seeing how ignorant many citizens are of the true intention of our government, I can't say they're learning a whole lot.

Yes, there's much "dumbing down" of society here today. Not to mention, many many sheeple.

However, I am in no way stating everyone in America is like this. It was just an observation I made from my hometown.

I like America. We do have issues (i.e. economic crisis etc)

it's not the best place to live but it sure beats most of the world.

I think because we have the biggest mix of each culture and every part of america is different. It's like you get alittle bit of each culture in America. (:
