Talking Japan Four and Two Gorilla - 04-24-2009, 02:10 AM

I think most of us would agree that Japan is famous for two and four wheels.

Once again, this awesome photo popped up on the left side of the forum page.

Could anyone point me in the right website direction to purchase one of these in Japan?

I will of course have it sent back to Australia.

Thank you in advance

Honda Terminated the production of Gorilla.
You could find it in second-hando market.

Or, you can buy Honda Monkey.

Detail for Monkey.

I'm not too sure where to find one new over there, I know here, you can only find them used. (And BADLY used at that) I just picked up this 50cc model last weekend..I know she looks rough, but it rides like a dream.. Still not bad for $50^^
(Sorry for the fuzzy pic, my cell phone leaves much to be desired)

Thanks Radio Kid.. That's awesome and I may pursue that through Honda Australia.

Atakicat: That's a steal and I guess if you were not keen to fix her up yourself, would be worth the mechanic for the full tune out!

Gorilla was released aug/1978 as a variation of Honda Monkey. Basic parts are common to Monkey. Gorilla has no mechanism of foldable handle but has big size fuel tank (9 litter), long sheet and front/rear carriers.

Honda once terminated Gorilla in 1990 and re-started selling (carriers removed) in 1998 pushed by the Gorilla lovers. production had been made until Sep/2007.

Great stuff RK

I know it's been a long time but I just saw this Monkey flash on the Cosplay left side of the screen...

How are you? Are you still active?

Cheers - Oz
