Yeah I agree I doubt it has much to do with race, a friend of mine that's Korean and his teeth are pretty flat and mine were pretty long, I had to get them trimmed down when I was younger actually...

The canines are the teeth next to the incisors (the front four teeth). They are on both the top and bottom rows of teeth, but I think they're the most prevalent in the top row.
  Unrelated, but according to your profile we're the same age and have the same birthday.  Just thought that was funny.   "Wanna hear the most annoying sound in the world?"

I may not look it but I'm related to a Japanese family somewhere in my family tree. It's on my fathers side of the family. Anyways, I have some really noticeable canines. Still, I don't think I see to many Japanese people with canine teeth to make this statement true in anyway.
