yeah the plauge is still around and as far as i know there is no cure.
The guy got a prize from the government too a 14 inch color tv. Seems like they could give more than that.

Wow that is a lot of rats that a man killed. Personally I don't like rats, so is a good thing for that man to stop the rat problem.

Actually the cure is good old fashion Penicillin

A handful of hunters get infected with it every year in the US, it [the fleas] jump off the game and bite them. It's mostly in the the Mid-West area I think.

Bubonic plague is another story all together.
