Just hope that you don't find a wanting to marry someone for the wrong reasons and like I said, actually logictize (Yay made up word!) your actions that you think of to respond to your feelings and you'll make good decisions that don't make you feel so rotten and bitter about marriage!

My Life Sucks- The kids I babysit have drooled, ripped or drawn on all of the cards and put the cars with the little people in the microwave!

I have no Friends- The cats have scratched and destroyed all of the DVDs!

I always owe someone- In fact I put two os in it!

I always ruin my clothes with Bleach!- The show is so dom suspensful I spill my grape soda on them!

But . . .I'll live.

Oddly enough, I would be the exception to the rule. I view my 15 yr. marriage as having been primarily a business contract. in fact we were business partners and saw it as a way to avoid attorney fees for partnership contracts.

BUT I am in total agreement that in almost all cases the contractual aspect of a marriage is almost absent in the couple's thinking. And to back that up I can attest to far more than only 100 people giving me looks of disbelief when I explain the situation of my former marriage, and not 1 person in the past 16 years since my divorce that has felt that my view was normal.

Xyzone, you seem to be making judgement calls based on adolescent heresay, rather than laudible experience or even valid, unbiased research.

No, I don't believe I am. What I believe is that people don't like to have their romantic ideals challenged.

I did read them. We were mostly just going in circles. We'll just have to agree to disagree.
