I haven't been to india myself, although some close friends have (hence the apple story!), but I roughed it out on a shoestring in S.E asia for 4 months and the health rules are pretty much the same. I can def. tell you what things I found useful to take and what was just a weight in the bag.

Ummm . . .I hear kids do alot more homework there then here .. . That's all I have, Sorry.


My Life Sucks- The kids I babysit have drooled, ripped or drawn on all of the cards and put the cars with the little people in the microwave!

I have no Friends- The cats have scratched and destroyed all of the DVDs!

I always owe someone- In fact I put two os in it!

I always ruin my clothes with Bleach!- The show is so dom suspensful I spill my grape soda on them!

But . . .I'll live.

You'll expect to hear around 15 different Indian languages and English if you go on a train/bus trip. "South India" speaks very different languages compare to "North India" (Hindustani vs. Dravidian languages).
