Anyone want to buy things from Japan? - 03-28-2010, 06:43 PM

Hi, I'm a college student in Tokyo and I'm trying to make a little extra money and I'm wondering if anyone on this site wants anything from Japan. I don't have an online store or any kind of website or anything because I don't know where to get started. If anyone has anything that they want in particular I'd love to see if I could help you get it. And even if you don't want anything right now I'd like to see what people in other countries might be interested in buying directly from Japan - particularly things you couldn't get wherever you live.

Thank you!

This kind of service is called a 'shopping service,' and is popular among fashion communities. It's useful for people who want things in Japan or off Japanese websites who don't have a Japanese address.

You'd be best off asking fashion communities such as EGL (Elegant Gothic Lolita) Livejournal, they often ask for shopping services, though I highly doubt anyone would trust you with any money if you haven't got a website or any feedback at all. Anime/Manga fans are often looking for Japanese goods, too.

Wow, I do have somethings I want to get, but probably only in Japan I would be able to get them. This is kind of embarrassing but what the...!

YUKARI TAMURA LOVE LIVE 2009-2010 *Princess a la mode*

-Poster
-Towel
-Black T-shirt M
-Black Hoodie
-Both singles cds

It doesn't have to be those things specifically, just things related to her.

So if you are willing to help me, I could pay the double for each item + sending.
Well then, send me a PM or you can get my email from my profile.

My Life Sucks- The kids I babysit have drooled, ripped or drawn on all of the cards and put the cars with the little people in the microwave!

I have no Friends- The cats have scratched and destroyed all of the DVDs!

I always owe someone- In fact I put two os in it!

I always ruin my clothes with Bleach!- The show is so dom suspensful I spill my grape soda on them!

But . . .I'll live.

Like MissMisa said, this sort of thing is actually popular in Japan.
I was just on a website yesturday that offers this kind of service where people like yourself can join and that way you will get more custom as it's through an official channel.

I can't recall the name, but i can try and find it again.

Basically people will list certain things they want and people like yourself can take a photo in a shop of the item and the price and post it on the website. Then somebody might ask you to buy it for them and obviously pay you a bit extra.

You can't have someone mail you taiyaki.. it would be like asking someone to mail you taco bell or macdonalds.
