Robotic and Cyborg research - 07-16-2010, 02:59 AM

I'm looking for large to small companies that wish to push forward the advancement of robots and cyborgs. Basically research and hopefully development in the near future. My question is if anyone knows any companies in Japan that fall under these details? I am currently looking for companies in Europe and the U.S but I am having trouble looking in these regions because if I'm not mistaken, their for military purposes which I don't agree upon. Thanks

Just doing a quick Google search produces the following resources and result.

Most of robotic research is done by the Universities and that's probably who you may need to contact first.

Are you wanting to sell technology or contribute to research? Depending on your intentions and sincerity they may be willing to talk with you but if you are a inventor/researcher you may need to submit examples of your work/research.

Cyberdyne...Yes like from the Terminator movies, it's the same name. I believe they are based in Japan. They recently built a power suit to help someone walk for the first time in two years.
