If people want to leave, then leave, but it shouldn't be an "Evacuation", because it is not necessary at this point, evacuating 70% of japan's population will be chaotic, definitely not something we need now if we can control the situation

If the situation is so apocalyptic as described in the media, this is bad, we need to leave at least a safety area of about 510.065.600 km². We will move all the people to the Moon and Mars to be on the safe side and we will come back in a few thousand years if they stop the meltdown by then.

Invite a family in Russia for a rest in my countryside house
 

As you know Russians usually have a countryside house for the weekends. So do I. My house in Central Russia(1000 km from Moscow,50 km from regional capital), 1 km from local mineral springs resorts, very picturesque place, a lot of conifer forests around. We have a very nice weather from May till October here. So if you suffered from radiation you can stay and recover in my home, no charge of course. There is Russian sauna too.

No one besides a very few number of people who have been working at the reactors themselves have been exposed to potentially harmful radiation. As their efforts are continuing I don't think you'll be receiving anyone who has been affected by radiation anytime soon. Nice thought though. Actually my wife and I were looking to go on a vacation and your place sounds pretty damned nice! ;)

I was thinking the same thing! No radiation here, but that sounds like an excellent vacation spot.

in fukushima i see no plan, no idea, no solution .. only confused and helpless action ... they would have had asked the worldwide specialist for atom sciene from the first day on to make the situation clear and have a good plan ... now one week is gone, nobody is really saved who are not clever enough to leave by himself ... if they would have a realistic plan at the beginning they would have saved 1/3 (10-15 million) up to today with international help of course ... thats more than nothing, which is it now ... about this i am mostly shocked ... complete wrong way ... they have had one week to save lives .. lost time now ... i will never understand ... :confused:

You do realize that all the destruction and damage in Japan was caused by an earthquake and tsunami, right?
All those deaths are due to the natural disaster, not the reactor issues.

Seriously - if 10-15 million people were a mere 1/3rd of the people dead, wow. I think we`d have heard about the 30-45 million dead. Or do you mean that 30-45 million people are going to die from this?

People in Japan do not have their heads in the sand about the effects of radiation. Quite the opposite, in fact, which is the whole reason WHY they aren`t running screaming from the country.

Seriously, this is turning into a wonderful example of how a little knowledge can be a dangerous thing. There are so many people coming out of the woodwork with a thimble full of information, thinking of themselves as experts.
