U.S. Navy base in Japan helps its neighbors - 04-22-2011, 02:18 PM

The U.S. Navy base in Yokosuka, a Tokyo Electric Power Company customer, reduced its daily consumption of electricity, in the wake of the earthquake and tsunami that struck northern Japan on March 11th.

Thank you, U.S. Navy!

You're welcome. =D

We like to be a good neighbor as a group. About a year and a half ago, I was part of a group from Yoko that helped clean up the neighborhood around the front gate on the Japanese side. Picked up litter, scrubbed walls, cleaned the glass on elevators and buildings, etc, etc. It was a lot of fun!
