i was emailing a korean girl, and she wanted to know how old i am, i said 16 she was 15, then she sends email saying: In korea you are 18. in america i am 13. i never know the game.sorry.

I thought it was odd email so anybody know what that means?

Korean culture has its own system of counting one's age. You are already 1 year old the moment you are born. After that, you get a year older on every New Year's Day. The point of the system is that it is not based on one's birthday.

This means that if you are born at the end of December, you will be 2 years old in just a few days after birth.
