Smile Help me connect families with Old Photos - 01-06-2016, 11:17 PM

Hi,

I joined this forum today in hopes that somebody can help me. My father was stationed in post war Japan and returned with a photo album filled with pictures of soldiers and families. I've always wondered what happened to these people and if I could ever reunite the families with some of the photos. I've tried this in the past in another forum with no luck so I want to try here today. Some of the photos are posted here https://www.flickr.com/photos/lizard...57660920259783

Does anybody know if there is any way to accomplish this? I'd really appreciate it.

Thanks!

Try this forum here. The forum members here are pretty knowledgeable about Japanese military and at the very least, will be able to give you a lot of information about who and what is contained in them. They can also translate anything that is written on them for you.

This is 5 years late but I just saw your reply and want to thank you for the tip. I'll try that other forum.

I checked the photo intensively and found some queues.

This photo was shot at the "YOKOTA Factory" at MIKAWASHIMA in ARAKAWA ward.

By searching for "荒川区三河島 横田製作所", you will get some hits. But the Factory seems no longer exist.

Check "YOKOTA SEISAKUSHO 3-72-3 ARAKAWA ARAKAWA-ward" in Google MAP.
