"The unreal is more powerful than the real. Because nothing is as perfect as you can imagine it. Because it's only intangible ideas, concepts, beliefs, fantasies that last. Stone crumbles. Wood rots. People, well, they die. But things as fragile as a thought, a dream, a legend, they go on and on."

Name: Ivan
Coming to you from: Australia
First Breath: April/27/197x
intentions and whatnot: Like alot of others. i guess i feel victim to anime. But the japanese culture is beautiful and full of intrigue for me (going beyond the usual anime rant). But i wanted to learn Japanese as a language i could hear and understand and reply back. I do not at this point wish to get too much into how to write a letter as such though learning it does come with that anyways. But not the symbol system
why do you want to go to japan: There wasn't initally any intention, more so just to throw my life through a new challenge. There are lots of places i would like to visit in the world and to be honest, i have never even left the state i live in (South Australia) But Japan is a beautiful country and if one day... time/funding etc permitted it, i think it would definately be high on the option list to visit.

Yes i did actually. I was hoping to look around and especially around the meet friends area to see how many others in Australia are in the same situation as me. (wishing to learn... very basic skill)

Thanks for the welcome.
