Coming to you from: Sunny So Cal
First Breath: Dec. 29 1989
Intentions and whatnot: Id have to say to make friends here and learn about Japan. I mean Ive got some questions, heres a place to ask, right?
Why do you want to go to Japan: A variety of reasons, most selfishly to learn to draw manga (i know its not likely, let me dream people!), and to learn my real passion, video game design XD. Im an rpg nerd, so sue me. But alas, I also love the art, the culture....the food XD. One of my biggest dreams is to see the cherry trees in bloom.
Favourite Manga/Anime: I have such a wide variety in interests, I love Hellsing, Saiyuki, Gravi, Loveless, Fake, Vampire Knight, Wolfs Rain. The list goes on and on when you include all the ones I've just started getting into. And again, dont get me started on RPGs.

This looks interesting~

Name : Kagayaku
Posting from : Malaysia
First blinks and breaths : 3/23....199* (Hah!)
Intentions and Whatnotch's : I was surfing around as well. I bookmarked this website and then completely forgot about it! (>_<). Also, I mistook this website for www.jref.com (Eek!). So then this seemed like a cool website so I joined. Excessively, obsessed with anything Japanese. I'm also a sucker for Japanese stuff. I just hear the word 'Japan' and my ears already start to perk up (This is embarassing...) and t all started with my favourite VK and JROCK bands! .

And its funny 'cause I never used to care XD.

I am also a certified Japanophile . On top of all that people mistake me for being Japanese sometimes (Yey~).
One of my intentions of joining this site is to ask about Kabuki. (Searching for it right now...). And of course, discussions and making friends!

I think I've said enough...NO, too much!

Why do you want to go to Japan : I just love the place, though I have never been there or seen it. I even have friends, Haha. My dad won't let me go study there though... . It's on the top of my destination list! Also, I am very interested in its rich culture and society, and just plain anything Japanese (note that I claim to be obsessed...). I like it not because I want to be cool or anything, but I like it for my own sake.
Also, I'd like to live there

Favourite Bands : alice nine. and the GazettE. On the sides are Kra, Kagrra, and -miyavi- (Yes! the correct expressions are necessary! >_<)

(So many smilies...)

I'll stop now.

Introducing Myself - 07-06-2008, 06:49 PM

Konnichiwa, I am GoodAnime. I found this site from reading the manga magazine, Shojo Beat. I am glad to finally be here! I have been studying some Japanese for over a month now (Since it is the summer and I have a lot time), but I joined today when I finally remembered to join, lol.

I'm from the U.S., but I am Vietnamese. =D Japan is one of my favorite places on Earth, however I have not been there. I've only seen pictures of the beautiful country. I fell in love with Japan ever since I was a kid, I'd say. I always watched animes on TV like Sailor Moon, Digimon, and such, but as I grew a few more years older, I learned about anime officially. Anime was such a big impact on my life, it helped me find my talent: Drawing. So when I grow up, I very much want to become a mangaka/comicker (They are basically the same thing, am I right?).

Other Things About Me: I enjoy Japanese and Korean music. :] Born on October 2, 1993.

Thanks for reading my introduction, even though it wasn't 'formal' like the other posts. . .

Ja mata,

~Goody

Angry Moshi Moshi! - 07-06-2008, 09:47 PM

Name: Otherion (a.k.a: Shmill')
Coming to you from: Vermont, USA (VT=FAIL!)
First Breath: October 12th, 1988

Intentions and whatnot: Whatnot? What not is a what not?
Basically, always wanted to go ever since I can remember, which lead into researching and learning a little about J-culture and lifestyle, eventually found out that DBZ wasn't made in america and wondered "WTF is this ah-nime you speak of? There the same as cartoons right?" (Thats how I thought it was spelt at first), after that came the realization that half the games for SNES that I had were Super Famicom games (Got most of em from a yard sale, Gawd, I loathe how naieve I was back then) and started collecting import games and systems (Which I recently had to sell because of money issues T.T), about 4 years ago I came across radio.keiichi.net which plays anime music and became an avid member of the IRC chats there, became intrested in attempting to understand what some of the songs that I liked were actually saying and because of that started "self-teaching" myself the language by way of a cheap language program (Picked it up at Staples in the 10$ bin) and kinda gave up for a long time, still avidly watching anime and preferring a lot of old-ish titles, about a year ago my high school accquired a foregin exchange student named Arisu with whom I became quite good friends with and eventually started dating her. Which leads us to today, where I take another step and join the JF forums. v(^.^)v

Why do you want to go to Japan: Well, originally just to visit there on a vacation, but now that Arisu's visa has expired and she has made the journey back to Okinawa I want to go and be with her. (Were trying the LongDistance thing.... with no issues after about 2 months! YAY!)

Favourite Manga/Anime: My favorite manga.... is probably Boogiepop (Wait! Thats not a manga! Thats a book!) OKAY THEN! Scratch manga from above and put book! HAPPY! (Yes.......) Manga: Hellsing (Was my first foray into manga and I still read it occasionally) Favorite Anime: Bubblegum Crisis 2040
