BTW, scratchingとは日本語では何になりますか？

Scratching は直訳すると 「掻く：かく；KAKU」あるいは「引っ掻く：ひっかく；HI KKAKU」ですが、 to push up the thread という意味だとすると　「アゲる:AGERU」と言ったりしま す。

ただし、「アゲる（上げる）；AGERU」をこういう意味で 使 う のは標準的な日本語ではありません。いわゆるネット 語というか2ch用語です。2chでは「ageる」とか書 いたりします。

2chではthreadが目立つことを避けるためにむしろ「下げる ：SAGERU」ことがrecommendされたりします。これを2ch用語で は「sage進行」と呼んだりします。

However in this case, "scratching to push up the thread" should be translated as 「アゲる:AGERU」.

To use 「アゲる」 in thi meaning is not standard Japanese. It is so called "Net slang" used in the"2ch" (http://2ch.net).

At 2ch, I believe the user can post "sage" (or not "age") message by putting "sage" in mail-address text box. Though I did Not try.
