I am a 22 year old man and in The near future I plan to visit Tokyo and the surrounding area for a period of about two weeks,but I do not want to fall into the usual tourist traps.

I want to see the real Japan. Places that you love, places that you think are great.

I will be traveling on a budget, so I am also asking for advice on how to save money. cheap ways to travel, the cheapest places to eat, etc

Additionally, I will likely be travelling alone, so if you have any safety tips, like places to avoid. Or Cultural faux pas to avoid.

A few places I do want to visit, include the Ghibli museum, Mt Fuji and The Pokemon store. Also when is the best time to see sumo matches and get cheap tickets?
