Icoco & Pasmo Card - 04-07-2016, 08:02 AM

I bought a ICOCA & Haruka ticket when I visited Kansai last week. I also got a PASMO card when I visited Tokyo last year.
What is the difference between ICOCA card and PASMO card?

As this figure (as of 2013) shows, you can use ICOCA in Tokyo area (SUICA Area) as well as in west japan. The arrows in the figure indicate "Compatible".
