New years events near Tokyo? - 10-07-2009, 06:16 AM

I'll be spending 8 days around Tokyo for new years. Any one know of any events going on?

The problem is that Japan celebrates the other way around. They are buddhists and hindu's so they don't give a shit on Jesus and his fellows. Christmas is party time in Japan and on New Years most of the shops are closed and people visit their families. Of course in Tokyo you'll find some crazy party going on but my recommendation is: go for christmas.

LMAO Since when have the Japanese been hindus?

For someone living in Japan, your comments about Japanese culture and language are so often completely off the mark. Study harder, dude!

And why the apostophe in "hindu's"? Sure hope you aren't teaching English here. A regular Japanese guy like me would know better.
