Democracy at work! lol (insane Japanese polititian)

Crazy is crazy everywhere! Only in a true democracy does this get televised with no interruption!
Way to go Japan! It's embarrassing for you but respected none the less!

This was a random guy who decided to run for office.

He wasn`t elected.
For obvious reasons.

But he was a huge hit on the net.

yeah lol, I'm still quite impressed.
There are few countries that would air that! Unedited to boot!

Wooooow that is some serious circular logic. The guy keeps kinda contradicting himself. Speaking of democracy, this guy reminds me of Basil Marceaux from 2010

In case you can't understand him;
I’m Basil Marceaux.com, your republican candidate for governor.
I’d like to recall all permit and registration for guns. Everyone carry guns. If you kill someone. No. You get murdered then you go to jail!

And, uh, I like to plant grass or vegetation across the state or any vacant lot and sell it for gas. So we can use it for our expenses.

Also I’m going to remove all gold fringe flags from the state and apply the real flag with three stripes.

I also want to stop traffic stops. Set it up like the Supreme Court rule in Knowles vs. Iowa . Can’t find an innocent car, you can’t look.

I want you’s all to vote for Basil Marceuax. I want you to say I pledge allegiance to the Republic, in the morning when you come out and we all pray to God and say Amen. And everyone have a nice day. And I’ll see y’all at the polls!

Thank you. Have a nice day.

Also Stephen Colbert's coverage of this guy's story is sooo hilarious. Republican Gubernatorial Primary Battle Watch '010 - Tennessee - The Colbert Report - 7/28/10 - Video Clip | Comedy Central

This guy did some other insane stuff (which was also subsequently covered by Colbert). His other crazy quotes include;
"I have to look back at our forefathers, how they wrote the constitution. They knew we had murderers on the street. They know we had nut cakes. But they didn't put no sub-graphs—sub-paragraphs in there concerning them. So, who am I to say imma write amendment to the constitution to say nut cakes can't have guns, criminals can't have guns?" (Way to play to his base amirite?)

"I want yous all, in a group of 25 or more, to come to Nashville with your guns and tell me I'm doing wrong."

EDIT; Sorry if this is off-topic. I just saw this thread and thought of this guy and thought I'd share some giggles ;)

Am I hearing this right? A nut-cake redneck doesn't want nut-cake rednecks and criminals to have the rights to carry guns?

StonerPenguin 04-07-2011 04:06 AM

He also has a surprisingly strong stance against slavery [and particularly "slavery at traffic stops"(...?)]. He's even an agent of the Freedmen's Bureau (A U.S. federal government agency established to help freed slaves in integrate into society and was disbanded by President Grant in 1872 -- No shit haha. His dedication is moving, ain't it?)

I just thought the "Everyone carry guns. If you kill someone. No. You get murdered then you go to jail!" (In that order???) and "I also want to stop traffic stops." lines in particular were hilarious.

You know your chances of winning are over when even the Redknecks think your crazy.

First time i saw a Japanese making a lot of sense through a veil of insanity. You guys need to look beyond.

In the thing in which he is, a trivial election broadcasting changes into the comedy program.
I want you to run in an election every time.
