All US citizens need is a passport. They'll give a 90-day visa stamp at the airport.

If you stay for 90 days you may NEED a job, though.

In this summer me and of my friends wanna go to japan or mexico..were gonna flip a coin a see witch part of the world will end up this summer:))

So if its gonna be japan need some basic info like:

How much does the beer(or you know sake since were gonna be there:) ) cost there in decent clubs not looking for expensive stuff:),in a 3 star hotel how much would it cost me for a night..and is the food expensive around there?:)Like could you eat good for a day for lets say about 30 euros/per day?:)

Oh and im thinking as a town Tokyo?

i thought promise was yaksoku(dont how how to spell the tsu in english here) and yummy=oishi?

Is there any easier way to learn Japanese...or is a translator necessary?

1,200 USD or less for the plane ticket, roundtrip. Then about 70 to 100 USD for each day you want to stay. It can be done for less, but this is probably the safest budget to estimate. It is for a place to stay, food to eat and some money to travel and buy stuff.

USD means US Dollars in case you were unaware of that.

Forgive me for this but I couldn't resist; lol... An old friend of mine who I no longer talk to wanted to visit me while I was staying in Japan. He lives in California U.S.A. and he also wanted to know how to get to Japan from California. However, his question was completely different. He wanted to know what bus he should take if he wanted to go from California to Japan. Omg, that made my head hurt just remembering that.

You don't really need to know Japanese to be a tourist there for a short stay. No need for a translator or anything like that. Many hotels and tourist destinations employ people who can speak English. However, the general rule is that the further you go from the major cities (especially Tokyo), the less English-speakers you'll find.

Compared to what? The easiest way to learn Japanese is by class or tutor (a REAL tutor, not some random person over the internet).

For the most part every thing in japanese has english right under it so you dont have to read kana or kanji.

Subways and Busses are easy to use. All else fails just use taxis.

American visa gets you 90 days in japan.

Air fair around this time of year can go from 600 to 1500 dollars and in the summer around 2000.

if you read the guide i talk about ways you can get tickets in the 600 range.

i even go over the weight per bag of luggage on certain airlines.

Mostly its 2 bags 22 Kilos each or about 50 lbs or somthing. plus one carry on.
