Seeking homestay in Tokyo - 12-10-2007, 07:24 PM

Hi,
Does anyone know how I can find a homestay family in Tokyo fairly quickly? I had arranged for myself and my younger brother to stay with my friend's mother, but I think she is sick and will not be able to host us. We are arriving in Japan on Dec 26 and will return on Jan 7.

Me:
- 26 year old male
- Graduate student (math)
- Studied Japanese for 4 years as an undergraduate
- I've studied in Japan and stayed with a host family twice

My brother:
- 20 year old male
- Undergraduate student (Asian studies)
- Just started Japanese language
- Never been to Japan

As a good older brother, I want to find a family to stay with for a low price since we are both students. There are several attractions I want to take him to, but I want to have several days with hiim in Akihabara since we both like anime, video games and electronics. We would also like to be able to experience New Years with a Japanese family. We are definitely willing to pay for all our food and travel plus a little extra to the family. We'll also offer any help they want, especially language. Thank you.
