Amazing Race goes to Japan - 01-06-2008, 02:41 AM

Just a heads up for everyone, the Amazing Race (an around the world race reality show) will be going to Japan in the episode to air tomorrow night, Sunday at 8 PM. For those able to see it, it might be fun! I know I'll be watching!

Well, it's on at 8 PM wherever you are, I think. I'm in the Pacific timezone and it's on at 8 PM here...

I've never seen the show, but I thought it aired at 8:00 pm here, but what you said makes sense. We'll just see it before you all will.

Well, I saw it! They went to Osaka, which was close to where I lived, and I visited several of the places they did, including Osaka Castle! It was very cool to see the place again, it looked almost the same as I remembered it (It was undergoing renovations when I was there, so some of it was covered in scaffolding at the time, and it's all done now.)

I noticed the old men in hat, gloves, and suit driving nice, modern cabs with automatic doors and GPS, similar to when I was there... what a difference from the cabs in India or Africa! And the people tended to be very helpful if you ask them a question ("where is this?"), but will usually deny knowing any English if you instead ask "Do you speak English?" LOL, it was a fun episode, and next week looks like at least some of it will also take place in Japan...
