I was hoping for some reviews too.
I was looking at Sakura House, and from what I read, it doesn't seem too bad. Just small, and possibly a little outdated.
The other one I was looking at was Oak House, which also seemed semi-decent.

Any reviews on either/or? (Preferably Sakura House, as that is where my gut is directing me ATM)

Hi, I thought I just share with you my recent stay

I just left Asakusa Sky Court Hotel today, was there for the past 2 nights, i stayed there when I came to Tokyo last year as well...

For me, I need a room with a bathroom , so Asakusa Sky Court is one of the cheaper one (It's $172 singapore dollars for 2 nights with breakfast, sorry i dun have the figure in Yen now) around with that criteria, I like the neighbourhood, quiet and peaceful...the staff there can speak enough english. The room is typical Japanese hotel room size (small) but most importantly, its clean

However if you mind walking 10 -15 mins to get to the station, then it may not be the hotel for you. (For me, I like the morning walk to station and night walk back to hotel, it's peaceful) There's a lawson just across the hotel, so anytime, you need some chips or drinks, just walk across

Plus points: Peaceful as it's in the neighborhood
Bad point :need to walk a bit if you mind walking, Asakusa is a bit off from Tokyo station area, I think but then with the metro, its fine.

Since Nao's plan is to stay at Sakura House (guesthouse) then it will probably be for at least a month. Guesthouses usually only rent out for a minimal of 1 month. I can't give you any factual feedback on Sakura House since I've never stayed there. Assuming it's like any other guesthouse, the rent is average, fluctations apply for locations is all.

The crap deal about guesthouses are shared showers/kitchen/bathrooms. I only say this because not everyone is as clean as you would like them to be, but I'm kind of a clean freak.

I'll be making it my main home for a month vacation [and staying at other guest houses for a night or two elsewhere]. I wonder if anyone knows anything about Sakura House Guesthouses? Any reviews of any of the properties?
