Ise travel guide - Wikitravel

According to that, you should take JR trains from Osaka to Nagoya, and in Nagoya get a train for Ise-shi. It says that the fastest and most direct route from Osaka uses the Kintetsu line, but the 18 kippu won't work on that, you need the JR line, but you can get there. Ask one of the station workers if you need help finding exactly which train to board... just be sure they know you have an 18 kippu so they won't direct you to a Kintetsu train.

You're welcome!

I used the 18 kippu quite a lot when I lived there, it's a great money savings if time is not an issue (since local trains can be very, very slow compared to the bullet trains and such). I never did travel to the Ise shrine, even though I lived across the Kii peninsula from it, in Wakayama (I guess I figured the other side of the Peninsula looked about the same as "my side", so I didn't go...). But I did pass through Nagoya to Osaka on my way home from Tokyo by 18 kippu, so I know at least that part of the trip.

i like this ticket too. especially, the fact that u can go outside the station. i can go outside and have a walk in the town or find some local foods instead of eating udon at standing bar or eating bento.
