Yeah, I'm in Tokyo right now, so I wanted to see if it was possible to join a race or two :)

60 km/h on the highway.. how shitty is that? O_O we drive 60 km/h in the city ._.

MMM 09-25-2008 09:14 PM

It's usually 80km/h on the highway.

It just depends where you are. Tokyo sucks during the day, but many parts of Tokyo are easy to drive around in at night.

Are there any legal races, on tracks etc?

Thanks for the answers anyway, I appreciate.

You might find this site interesting, if you are in-to the drifting thing: d1gp.co.jp

Yes, 60km/h would be shitty. That's why it's 60M/h. Read more carefully. :|

haha even that is just to slow, Iam used to have no speedlimits on the highways

As MMM said, highway speeds are typically 80kph. The signs are electronic though, and can be lowered when the weather is bad.

The highways which run through metro Tokyo are very twisty, and the lanes are narrow. Fun to drive on (when traffic is light), but there is very little room for error.

I recently heard that they are still running (drifting) on Mount Rokko, which is near Osaka. Good luck.
