Where should I go??

I'm planning to go to Japan in Nov/Dec but I'm a little worried about the weather as I'll be camping.

I was thinking that the weather will be too bad for camping near Tokyo/Osaka, but will it be better if I head to the south, such as Kagoshima?

If you can, fly down to Okinawa, or Miyako-jima (Me-ya-ko-jima) you'll see a whole another side of Japan culture.

It's my first time in Japan so I don't really want to see "a different side". I just want to know if the weather will be better in Kyushuu for camping than it will be near Tokyo/Osaka.
