Red face travel advice - 10-21-2008, 03:25 PM

hi,can someone tell me how to get from kyoto to Kawaguchiko. I do not have the Japan Rail Pass and find the railway fares too expensive. I am hoping to catch a bus.
thanks! Simonka

Incredibly there's a line between those two places!

The bus is called the Fujiyama Liner. You catch it at the Hachijo-guchi Exit of the Kyoto Station.

The ride will be about 9 hours and it costs 8,500 yen (one way).

Q-NAVI

EDIT: The fare seems to be 8,000 yen instead of 8,500. The bus leaves Kyoto at 23:18 and arrives at Kawaguchi-ko at 8:20.

Get on the line to Hashimoto, which is a local hub. Go to Kashihara from hashimoto. from kashihara to Kyoto.

I will be in Hashimoto or gojo next door) in two weeks. contact me if you need something.
