In general do people mind if you take pictures of them?

Just as Josh puts it, I think it's totally up to the individual. If you're going to take a picture of someone, you should ask politely first...unless it's an event or something and a bunch of other people are doing the same thing. Personally, I'd be flattered if someone took pictures of me ¦3

Are you kidding? They go to Harajuku to get pics taken of them! I go there about twice a month so I know. I see just about the same faces on the bridge over the railroad everytime I go there. They know very well how to pose for the pics, too.
Still, I do recommend that you ask for permission first if you want to take close-up shots, just in case... |
Yeah, i intend to ask permission, and their names. i want to write a book on Harajuku fashion.
