Question Viewing Fujisan - Hakone or Fuji Five Lake?? - 01-06-2009, 04:27 AM

Which is the better destination for doing a half day/day trip to view mt fuji and the surrounding areas?? I have only ever seen Fujisan by going past on the Shinkansen and would like to have a better look and get photographs etc.

I would love to go to both, honestly.

I was considering both as an option. There are even tours that do both in one day. I am not going to do a tour though as I would rather wait until the morning to decide what day I want to go to make sure it is a clear day... that and tours are usually a drag.

PS. MMM if you are around can you add a 4th opion of 'both' to my poll. It won't allow me to do it myself.

Take a boat trip around Lake Ashinoko. I've done that a few times and got to see Fuji-san in the postcard quality each time.
