Go to Odawara > Yumoto... find a nice onsen resort and spend 2 days there

Yup... I am a frequent at a place call tenseien (天成園) in Hakone Yumoto. Its nice and cheap, and the onsen there is decent. I can't find an English website for it, but here is the japanese website:

http://www.tenseien.co.jp/

Here is an un-official english site: Japanese Guest Houses - Tenseien

Have fun

When I was in Nikko , I stayed at Nikko Park Lodge. I stayed in a dorm type room cause its cheaper , the amenities are pretty basic and the service is OK. The owner is a very nice Japanese Lady who can speak english and with her are 2 other english speaking staff. Also I love the location, and near Nikko station so pretty convenient too. It's really a place to just relax, and get away from the city life
