Morning!

There's a splendid variety of mobile phones available in Japan - a far wider range of colours and designs than are on the UK market.

Does this variety extend to the netbook? Are there a plethora of cheap little mini-laptops in pretty colours or fab designs? Or are they all black, white, blue and red?

Didn't see any funky ones in my travels there.

Most looked the same as NA and EUR and the prices were roughly the same

You can find some funky stuff, but you really need to look hard. Asus, MSI and Lenovo all have laptop that is availably exclusively to Asia, so you will definitely find something, but it won't be an item that you can just walk into any computer store to see it. Dig around Akiba, I am sure you can find something

When it comes to cell phones, the makers and providers are different, as is the market when it comes to features... so things are quite different.

Netbooks, on the other hand, are pretty much the same world round. I`m sure there are a few models available in Japan that are not elsewhere, but in the end a laptop is a laptop.

If anyone is trying to find me… Tamyuun on Instagram is probably the easiest.

I'm not so concerned about prices, but thanks. I'll have a dig in Akiba and see what I can find.

Failing that I suppose I can always just get a plain ole Acer One and put stickers on it
