Of course having very good Japanese skills is a plus.

Your implication is that every one in the world should be a viable candidate for every job in Japan (at least that's how I read it). I am saying the world doesn't work like that.

Nah, not really meant to be a deep question at all. Just curious if race is often an issue. If somebody isn't qualified or is equally qualified but a bigger hassle, then not hiring them wouldn't be racist. But do companies often find the idea of hiring a white or black into a japanese company unappealing, regardless of qualifications? I mean US, Canada, UK is so diverse that to not hire somebody based on race would cause an outrage but with the population not as diverse in the east, i could see why companies might be uncomfortable hiring somebody not Japanese.
