Saga-ken - 06-17-2009, 11:10 AM

Hello Community,

this summer I'll visit my hostfamily in Kumamoto-ken, Kyushu, where I lived as an exchange student in 2006. In that time my hostfamily made quite a few day trips with me but apart from that I did not have the possibility of travelling around by myself.

Therefore I am planning a five-days trip using the Kyushu Rail Pass - and want to see Saga-ken during the first day of that trip.
I've already visited the Yoshinogari History Park and do now think of going either to Arita and Imari, famous for pottery etc, or directly from Saga-shi to Karatsu and Yobuko, which is said to have a beautiful seasight.
Has anyone of you visited those cities and may tell me which one would be worthwhile?

Thanks a lot and greeting from Germany!
