Why men go to hostess bars in Japan - 09-01-2009, 08:06 AM

YouTube - #41 KEN TANAKA LEARNS WHY MEN GO TO HOSTESS CLUBS 池袋のキャバクラ

"They give you a fleeting moment of happiness. They temporarily fill the void in one's heart. That feeling of loneliness, and that's why I am a customer. That's why I'm willing to hand over my money to them."

They used to make little or no sense to me - but I`ve since grown up.

I still can`t understand dropping huge amounts of money into them, or going every other night and using up the life savings... Or those who get TOO into it and try to seriously start a real relationship with hostess/host.
Otherwise, it`s like play dating.

You can flirt, pretend to be a girlfriend/boyfriend for a day with no strings attached, no repercussions, and no rejections. Then go home and back to reality. No worries about having cheated, no concern about having to follow up, etc.

I have higher priorities than that sort of fun so wouldn`t waste the money on it. But on the other hand it`s not at all hard for me to understand the appeal.

If anyone is trying to find me… Tamyuun on Instagram is probably the easiest.

Fun, drinks, socialising and sexy girls

Definitely a great place for some good conversation with the boys and at the same time allowing the hand to go astray

Yeah, it's shallow but at times it's great. Hanging out with friends, drinks, telling ridiculious stories and nice women around you.

Doh! That reminds me! I have a bottle of Shochu with my name on it at a kyabakura in Yokohama. I wonder how long they'll keep it for me...

Might have to fly over for a rescue mission!
